e-Orientation - Recommendations and Troubleshooting Guide
Placing Agency Related Guide (PARG)
Summary:
This guide covers some common recommendations and troubleshooting tips for students experiencing issues with e-Orientation.
Background
- The e-Orientation feature provides students with access to eLearning modules that are published by receiving sites to prepare them for an upcoming clinical placement
- These are all third party modules that are hosted by but are not owned by HSPnet
Recommendations:
- Ensure you have sufficient time to complete your modules. If you rush through you will miss elements resulting in an incomplete module
- Use a computer, rather than a phone or a tablet
- Chrome is the recommended browser. If not available, you may need to try a variety of browsers
Troubleshooting tips:
- If you are unable to click “Next” or move forward, be sure the “arrow” icon changes to the “hand” icon. To do this, move your curser to hover over the “Next” button. When the arrow icon changes to the hand icon, you can click next
- When finished, click the “Exit Activity” button on the top right of the module to ensure your progress is saved
- When you have completed the module, please take a screen capture for verification
- The modules update hourly, you may not see the completion status updated right away. Please check back after a full hour before contacting your Placing Coordinator
- If you experience any issues with e-Orientation, please contact your Placing Coordinator. If they cannot resolve the issue, they will escalate to the support team directly
