Student Assessment Module (SAM) - Updating to the Expanded ACP2.0 SAM Template

Placing Agency Related Guide (PARG)

Summary:|
This guide explains how change the Student Assessment Module template used by Physiotherapy programs to the expanded ACP2.0 template containing an additional demographic page.

Step 1: Set up the default template for future placements

  1. Go to Maintenance > Setup/Lookup > Courses
  2. For each course using SAM, click the Course Profile icon
  3. Click on the Assessments tab
  4. Click the Edit icon  for each assessment and select the ACP2.0 template then save

Note: This setting will be used by default for any new (future) courses added in Cohorts.

  1. Step 2: Set up the template for existing courses in Cohorts

    1. Go to Cohorts
    2. For each upcoming course where SAM will be used, click the Assessments icon
    3. Click the Edit icon for each assessment and select the ACP2.0 template then save

Note: New courses will default to the setup entered in the Course Profile in Step 1, but existing courses will need to be updated manually.

Step 3: and update assessments for courses with existing placements
If placements were already created in an upcoming course, they will not automatically be updated to the ACP2.0 template. They can be updated individually:

  1. Access the Enrollment screen
  2. Change the Screen Mode to Manage Assessments
  3. Click the Placement Request Details icon
  4. Click on the Assessments tab
  5. Click the Edit icon for each assessment and select the ACP2.0 template then save

If several placements with the existing ACPext assessment templates need to be updated, contact the HSPnet Help Desk to have all placements in the course automatically changed to the template and schedule entered in Cohorts.

Things to Remember

  • Do not edit assessment templates for placements where the assessment process has already started (assessments have been distributed). The same assessment templates (interim and final) should be used in a single course for purposes of producing the results report.
