                **Placing Agency Related Guide (PARG)****

Summary:**

Identifying Orientation dates enables you to add an extra date at the beginning of a practicum that can be included or excluded in the course hours and schedule for instructor led groups.<div

To turn Orientation Dates on:





Click: Maintenance/Setup/Lookup/
Departments. 











Select the edit icon for the department where you wish to activate Orientation dates.  










Click to place a check mark in front of "Use Orientation Dates (Instructor Led Groups)."






     5. Save the changes with the green check mark.  





Enter the Orientation date in Placement Request Details on the Placement Information tab.
All Placement Requests will now show an "Orientation date" in placement details, under start date.
The orientation date can be filled in on the placement information tab by opening the details icon  for the placement request in the outbox and selecting the placement information tab:
6. Select the date from the select a date calendar icon







Save the changes with the green check mark.  


  










The orientation date can also be entered on the group shift schedule:








Open the group shift schedule  or  icon .




Click on a date and the edit icon appears 





Click the edit icon  to open the edit screen.














1. Change or enter the date if needed.1. Select the desired shift length.1. Enter a start time.1. From shift type, select "Orientation" from the drop down list.1. Shift Details: select *Mandatory* or *Optional.*1. Click to place a check mark in all the boxes you wish to apply. 1. Save the changes with the green check mark.
